Let's chat about choosing the style

Hi everyone!

Spring trends of 2019! That is what the issue is going to be about, I thought it was appropriate to focus on spring since we are fastly approaching that season. As someone who really enjoys clothes, I have downloaded on my phone the apps for the stores I mainly shop at. I normally pick up on a pattern of what will be trending that season but,  instead of guessing I wanted to get a more professional opinion. I went on https://www.elle.com/spring-fashion/ and read into their entire article regarding their predictions on what will be trending this spring. To be quiet honest, this wasn't the source for me, but it did bring me to the correct one. I recognized that this article included extravagant runway outfits that my target audience would just simply not be able to fully to relate to. I desire my audience to feel empowered while looking at the different trends on the issue and inspire them to include them in their day to day outfits.

Among a little more research I was able to proceed to this article from Harper Bazaar a well-known fashion magazine; https://www.harpersbazaar.com/fashion/street-style/g23030921/new-york-fashion-week-spring-2019-street-style/?slide=28. This brought me to understand the style I want to convey for the outfits is chic everyday outfits.

Let me break down what street style is for those of you who don't know. Street style is ready to wear, everyday outfits. I had this stereotypical street style outfit in my head that I just couldn't wrap around my head to work for the type of issue I want to create. The outfit is baggy jeans, long shirt, and trendy sneaker shoes. Here are some pictures for you!

With a little more research I was able to understand that although street style might have a specific stereotypical style, self-expression and location play a role. I was able to find this through simply googling "Spring street style", and led me to find these outfits that are more suited for not only my audience but the style I'm trying to convey.

All in all, it was a successful researching session! I was able to establish exactly the fashion style I'm going for, and learn about all the different trends that fall into my style for this spring. I can't wait to share the trends with you all!
